Many years ago, I used to work as a software developer to a Big Insurance company in Makati. Their office is along Makati Ave.
I have a typical 8 to 5 work schedule.
If you’ve been to any business district during rush hour, you probably noticed the flow of people going to the same direction.
Some people are in rush to reach their office on time.
I actually didn’t notice this pattern despite of working in Makati for several years…
…until one morning, my body is just resisting going to work.
It’s like my feet suddenly has its own mind and don’t want me to step forward.
So I stopped and observe my surroundings.
This was the first time I noticed that most people are going in the same direction.
People that some are…
…wishing they can make more money.
…wishing that they can do what they love to do.
…wishing there’s more to life than just go to office and do the job that they hate.
Sadly, most will not reach their dreams of financial freedom.
Why? That’s because…
…if you go with the flow you go with the broke.
I HIGHLY suggest that you print the sentence above and post it in your wall. This will serve you in a daily basis.
If you want the freedom that most people will never have, you have to do what most people are not willing to do.

hi jon,
i’ve been an avid reader of your blog and it’s very helpful for me as an aspiring entrepreneur. However could you elaborate more about “you have to do what most people are not willing to do.
thank you and God bless…

Hi Carie.
Most people would like to have financial abundance. They’re tired of being poor and can’t buy things that they like.
But most are not willing to sacrifice and discipline themselves so their future is better and wealthier.
They rather spend hours in Facebook or watching telenovelas than work on their business or finances.
Starting your own business requires some sacrifices.
Long time ago, I’m spending hours every week playing billiards with my friends. We play almost every day until 3am.
When I decided to become an entrepreneur, I gave up that kind of lifestyle.
I still play with my friends though but not every day anymore and certainly not until 3am.
The point is, you have to make sacrifices. Stop day dreaming and start working.
