Yes pinalayas ako ni misis.
In case you aren’t aware, I’ve been working full-time from home for 5 years now in my tiny 80 square feet spare room. There’s where I started my business online.
I still work there until recently…pinalayas ako.
Nope. Hindi kami maghihiwalay. In fact, we’ll have overnight date tomorrow in a hotel. We’ll dine in a fancy restaurant and probably watch a movie as well.
Pinalayas nya ako sa sarili kong office because she’s now working on her Internet Business about stocks and investing. For a few days lang naman.
Here’s my office for today. The public library. My laptop is the one in the middle.
When I started my online business somewhere in 2006 my wife is an unbeliever. In her mind, I’m probably being scammed.
I can’t blame her. She has this typical “kinsenan katapusan mentality”. She likes security like most Pinoys. She’s coming from the old and obsolete advice of…” finish college and get a good job.”
Kapit tuko sa trabaho kahit wala namang progress financially.
And then one day, I showed to her that I just made over $16,000 that day. Not from recruiting or pyramiding scam but from my own Internet business.
Then I bought her a genuine Louis Vitton bag just because I want to. There’s no occasion or birthdays or anything.
Unbeliever pa din sya? Not anymore!
You see, most people have this “to see is to believe” mindset.
Let me ask you this: Nakikita mo utak mo?… Hindi?… So wala kang utak?
Friend, you don’t have to know the statistics about employment to realize that having a JOB will not make you rich. I don’t have to keep telling you that you and I have been fooled to believe that having a job is the way to prosperity.
It is not!
In any business, employees will make the least amount of money while the owner makes the most.
Unfortunately, in the Philippines especially, there are many talents. Businesses can brutally lower down their salaries to a point na parang di na maka-tao.
And then, kakaltasan ng Tax.
Kakaltasan ng Philhealth
Kakaltasan ng SSS.
Lastly, kakaltasan ng wagas na Pag-ibig.
Anong natira? Payslip.
Yan, lagyan mo ng suka, patis, isang basong tubig, bawang and you now have an “Adobong Payslip”
Then buy an NFA rice because that’s the only rice you can afford, masarap na hapunan na.
If you’re happy with that kind of life, please do not visit this blog again.
Otherwise, I encourage you to dream again and pursue that business that you have in your heart.
Comment below and let me know your thoughts.
To your freedom,
Jon Orana

Hi Sir Jon,
This is with regards sa sa e-mail mo kahapon on “How to create your First e-Book and start making Money online in 90 days or less”
For now may work naman ako, office work, pressure everyday, pero wala rin, ubos din sa mga kaltas ng SSS, Philhealth, pag ibig, plus SSS Loan at Pag-ibig Loan.. Haaay buhay, nagkasakit kasi papa ko last year (June) stage 4 cancer until he passed away last Oct 24. It sad, pero ganon talaga ang buhay. Kaya ito, tipid-tipid muna until I have read your blog recently.
Paano ba mag start, wala ako bank account for savings, just ATM for Salary (5th & 30th), yon lang at usually wala ring laman.
Help me to start,
TED

hello Ted, sometimes kasi we are stuck inside our blanket of which we use to live a life, in short we are in a rat race if you are familiar with it you can relate to me easily. Rat race is being told when you are caught with your own fear to get out from where you got stuck for a long time. Ito ay yung ginagawa mo ngayon para matustusan ang pang araw araw na buhay. Pero gusto kong sabihin sa iyo, hindi mo kasalanan yan, because we are here in this world with missions and vissions. we have given all the resources to make a life which we are dreaming of but we should only know what others have done to achieve their success while you dont. i want to give you my book for free and you can share it if you want if you know it can help. you can read it herehttp://benjaminjeofreycorpuz.com/discover-the-education-that-others-possessed-that-you-dont/ and dont forget to leave a comment. after reading the foreword, you can see the download button below and you can read as “go ahead and download the book here for free.” hope to see you inside.tnx

Marami akong business na gustong simulan pero need ng malaking puhunan pero hindi po sapat ang pera ko to start up Ive been to networking din pero hindi din nag work kasi masyadong mahal ang mga product considering na medyo rural po ang area naming sana ma guide mo ako sa tamang diskarte. thank you po
AJRapales says
Hi jing! May mga seminars at trainings na inooffer ang mga networking companies about sa mga diskarte sa negosyo at paano magbenta – you can start from there and as you learn from that, you can start, in parallel, to learn how to build other businesses. Sa ngayon online business talaga ang magandang pasuking business venture dahil Information Age tayo ngayon; knowledge kung baga is being regarded as “the new money”. I’m building a website currently about these facts and figures, and how to build business just like Jon is doing, probably I can give this after a few weeks upon completion of my website and everything. With Sir Jon kasi nabuksan rin ang isip ko about sa online business that’s why I did the same thing.

Hi Jon,
I’ve been working abroad since 1995 and plan to retire within 3 – 4 years max. i invested most of my income abroad in farming and small real estate business. I acquired 12 hectare farm land (coconut planted) and intercropped several fruit bearing trees (durian, lanzones, avocado, santol, etc) in fact I started harvesting since 2005. The farm income is still not enough to sustain my monthly overhead cost if I retire. I decided to intercrop more with rubber plantation, 3,500 rubber trees are already about 3 years old and probably I will wait for another 3 – 4 years before I will start harvesting rubber. I am waiting for that moment to come before I decide to retire. My mind set is to retire with enough income to sustain my retirement period, basically we need it to enjoy. I only have one child and my daughter actually graduated from college last march. She will proceed to masteral and eventually doctorate degree that is why I still remain to stay with my work abroad.
My family visited me herein KSA last june and left 1st of august 2015. I discussed a lot about your article and being my wife an expert in making marmalade, jams and jelly, we decided to start a small business which mostly all products come from the farm. We plan to sell cranberry, durian guava jams, santol marmalade and Spanish sardines. i come from dapitan city, Mindanao and ever since I started farming, our main problem is marketing. Several times the middle men who buy our produce are buying it cheap. Kulang nalang hingiin. There was a time na binibili nila ang seedless lanzones ko ng 5 pesos per kilo, sa inis ko, pinabibigay ko nalang sa mga kapitbahay ng saku saku, hwag lang mapunta sa mapagsamantalang middle men. As I discuss this new business proposal with my wife, may alinlangan ako na baka hindi na naman mabenta ang mga produkto namin. I have tasted all my wife’s products at masarap talaga compared to the commercial products of the same kind dahil lahat natural at organic pa ang products namin.
I would be glad if you can help me with a good marketing strategy to sell our products. Sorry hindi ko pa nabili ang books mo but I promise that I will buy it in a couple of months.
I am an avid fan of yours and I never missed reading any of your articles.
I would be glad to hear from you.
just a personal request, you can tell my story to anyone but please don’t disclose my identity. thanks coach….

Sir Jon,
Good morning po. I just got home last night from my first chemo session. I have been on indefinite leave since May 21 of this year which means hindi ako sumasahod and am currently relying on my company’s healthcard and the kindness of relatives and friends for my medical expenses. At the moment, I’ve used up a fifth of my healthcard’s benefits. Unfortunately, help from friends & relatives are not steady and consistent. I don’t have any savings anymore as I’ve used them up for my pre-chemo tests & procedures. Is there still hope for me to be financially independent? How can I turn things around? Where do I start? I’m scheduled to have my infected leg amputated after my 2nd chemo cycle. After about a month’s recuperation from that operation, dun pa lang po ako makakabalik sa work to start earning money uli. What should I do in the meantime to get myself on track to where I want to be financially. Please help. I’m at the end of my wits.

Well tama ka dyan bro. Being an employee will not give you the financial freedom that we aspire for. Being an entrepreneur can. I have been contemplating of starting my own ebook. But boy!!! Its not a walk in the park. I am researching on what to write. May be you can guide me on how to start. Thanks
AJRapales says
Hello Sir Tarquin! I read Sir Jon’s ebook regarding this and he indicated 10 possible topics that you can use to generate your own ebook. In my experience and based kay Sir Jon, ang 3 most profitable topics that you can probably use is anything that mainly talks about 1] Money and investing, 2] Family and Relationships, and 3] Health and Fitness. Maganda ang mga yan kasi mostly ng mga tao sa mundo, common pain points nila is almost pointing to those 3 topics. but you can also experiment with other topics such as sports, etc. pero may procedure kasi kung paano ang tama at systematic way ng paggawa ng market research.

I want to quit my job and venture into business, but as you are always saying “pay your debts first” and that’s my problem..i’m giving myself until the end of this year to pay my credit card bills but everytime i think about it i don’t know if i can pay it all..that’s the dilemna i am in now. But as far as business is concerned i already have one in mind..can i have a piece of your advise? Thanks to help..will appreciate much and thank you for your inspiring emails everyday..
AJRapales says
Hello Olive! Hope this will enter this forum, but I would like to give pointers regarding your concern. You’ll probably not believe this at first but, as opposed to Sir Jon’s principle, mine is for you to “pay yourself first”. I learned that from reading books from Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump. I used this principle, difficult at first but in the end, you’ll learn a lot about managing your finances well. Pay yourself first – I don’t mean that you just pay yourself first and not paying everyone else but I’m saying that, upon receiving your payday, for example, first you allot most of your money onto yourself (by putting it on your separate bank account or keeping it inside your vault for example), then pay everything last like your bills, debts, etc. If you feel that by doing this you notice that you’re having gradually-belittling amount of money to pay for your bills, that will force your mind to think of other ventures that you can use to just address your expenditures. Sa experience ko halos kahit anong mabenta pinasok ko para lang mabayaran ko mga pagkakautang ko, PERO I don’t forget paying myself first. After a few months, nagulat na lang ako na lumaki ng lumaki na pala yung “asset account” ko sa bank, and that’s what I used to invest in papaer assets and building businesses. Mahirap ito sa simula pero maganda ang magiging kahihinatnan nito, if you have the discipline and the sheer determination to do it, for the sake of your family’s future.

Hey Jon!
I’m a Cebuano. A Civil Engineer. And currently unemployed. For 2 months now. But I am not that worried about where I will be going next. You see, I’ve already begun investing in stocks and in the life/non-life insurance, I’ve also bought a property which is payable in many, many years. I’m also in to networking, unsuccessfully.
So am I secured yet? Maybe, but not fully. I still have credit card debts and to continue investing, I must shell out money. You probably know that already. So I began looking for alternative sources of income and I came across your article.
You are very persuasive, do you realize that? Your writing kind of reminds me of Bo Sanchez.
Can you please teach me your ways? I would very much aporeciate it.

Hi,
I’m 32 and and been working for 11 years already, I have a car, yes, but pag-aari pa ng bangko until 2019. I don’t have a house yet and still renting with my girlfriend, I really want to own one someday.
Working as an IT head in a HK based company, travelling and battling the grueling traffic of EDSA or C5 daily for a total of 5-6 hours a day, going to work and back home. Working 8-10 hours a weekday and most of the time still working on weekends as part of maintenance tasks for clients/partners while they are not operating.
I want to get out of this routine, I want to travel, I want to have time for myself, for my family. Before, I can still go to the gym, play basketball, go out with my friends. But now after becoming an IT head, I really have no time anymore.. I even needed to be fly to HK every now and then to manage new client setup and provisioning.. I wish it was a vacation but it’s not.. I sometimes fly Friday night to fix something in a client site in HK on a Saturday, and then fly back to MLA Sunday morning.. Again.. not a vacation.. still work..
I though becoming an IT head or being promoted to a role that I have been working for more than 6 years, will give me the luxury of financial freedom and time. Instead more responsibility, more time, more effort and I even need to think of people, clients, partners, who is relying on me and my team. I have sacrificed a lot, but then again, this job is still demanding a lot from me. I don’t think I can do this for another decade of my life anymore.
How how how.. I’m so interested, I know a lot of stuff in terms of IT, I can contribute a lot (I believe).. I just don’t know where to start.. I just don’t know how to begin.. I am open to anything.. I just want to have my life back.. 🙁
Thanks for your time reading..

he he he… halos pareho tayo… to get rich, study and get a job… that’s the advise from our parents and school… and to think, the school I came from is one of the best in our country. They did not tell you of setting up your own business so you can make our country full of enterpreneurs and later be a first world country. They always tell us, go abroad and probably 10 years go back and spend your money back here in our country. But after that, wala na naman because of not ready to be a businessman but to be an employee again. So maraming OFW, ayaw na rin bumalik kasi, there is nothing awaits for him with the same condition they are getting in abroad….
Nobody taught us to be an enterpreneur. This spot is an eye opener to everyone…

Hi there Jon 🙂
I’ve been silently reading thru your blogs and e-mails and I am learning because you inspired me. Honestly, we passed thru the same avenue (I used to work as a programmer, web developer, and sys admin). I’ve been into many biz ventures where most of them eventually vanished after sometime. I had also experience working for top corporations which I did not really enjoy, because of the many limitations it caused and cost me. Now, I get to enjoy learning from the sidelines, internet business bit by bit, cautiously taking 1 step at a time learning every process. Thank you.

I was employed before but was let go without any reason, the HR just asked for my resignation, when I was asking why was I being let go? The HR just said “Kasi yun ang gusto nila (the owners). So I gave in to their desire. For two months now I’ve been unemployed and wanted to get my back pay so it would augment my expenses “bayad utang lang” (again no choice), upon following up I’ve learned that they are still not releasing it bec. they (owners) wanted to deduct an amount equivalent to S7 edge out of the blue, now I’m still working this out. To cut the story short, I am being con by my high school classmate of not paying my back pay and no one should endure this kind of treatment. Your blog make sense. Oncs I get my pay I’ll jump into your offer on starting my own business.

Good day Sir Jon,
I am JD. I am jobless for 4 months now, financially down and heartbroken because everyday I am witnessing how the people I love suffer because of my wrong decisions. I owe different people money and I cannot even afford to buy my 6 years old daughter the snacks she wants in school. My spouse in I have differences because he is engulfed in his vices and I am being dragged down by spiral of lies and debt. At the end of every email you sent me, you have this statement “To your freedom”. Sir I am praying for that ever since and I do hope you can help me. I am penniless and poor both financially and emotionally. Sana po you can help me. I can’t afford yong online business po na may fee kasi wala talaga ako. Etong internet ko babayaran ko pa at the end of the month. I’ve been looking for an online and home based job kaso and hirap din po pala. Kind regards and God bless po!

Dear Sir Jon,
My Filipina secodary employer from a foreign marketing business just sent me an email of terminating me without due process. Biglaan, nakakagulat, nakakasakit ng puso, nakaka-stress. alam ko ganito nga employee. May forever sa pagiging just an employee if wala ngang magpapalaya. But uncharting an unknown to-me business is not that easy to kick-start. May mga pre-needs din. Aside from skills, experience and experties. And not all readers of your emails sir has it.
May you shed a light and clear, though hard road to business and financial freedom .
More Power!
