Ho! Ho! Ho!

I just want to greet you a Merry Merry Christmas.

I now live here in Canada and I’ll tell you this: Wala pa rin sasaya sa Pasko ng Pinas.

Maliban sa traffic, nami-miss ko ang lahat. Puto bumbong, bibingka, queso de bola, reunion, etc.

But for me Christmas is more than just a celebration. This is also a great time to reflect, be grateful, and plan ahead.

Success in life won’t happen by accident.

You have to carefully plan your future.

Do you want to be debt-free?

Do you want to start a profitable business this 2016?

Gusto mong pumayat?

Do you want to become the best father or mother for your kids?

All that, you have to desire it in your heart, set a goal, plan on how to execute it, and be relentless.

BE RELENTLESS! Wag kang titigil until you reach your goal.

I just heard a story how relentless our Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is.

It was her third try, pangatlong beses nya na sumali sa Binibining Pilipinas-Universe.

First attempt – Talo.

Second attempt – Talo na naman!

And on her third try, she finally won the Miss Universe Philippines.

Now, she is our Miss Universe and she makes us all proud.

That’s should be your attitude my friend. Be relentless.

Financial freedom is something you pursue.

When I lost in Millions and with more than P2 Million in debts, I didn’t give up on my dreams to become financially free.

I didn’t give up having my own business.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about me. It’s about the future of my kids. As a father, I want them to experience the best life possible.

And I know being an employee won’t make me rich. Alam nating lahat yan.

Naalala mo nung bata ka, you want a toy or you want to eat somewhere but your parents can only respond by…

“Wag yan anak, mahal yan.”
“Wag yan anak, hindi natin kaya yan.”
“Wag yan anak, hindi tayo mayaman.”

I can’t utter those words to my kids. I’ll consider myself a failure if I can’t give them what they want.

I have to dream bigger and work harder for them.

You can only pray all you want, but if you don’t back it up with action; your prayer is just a “wishful thinking.”

Again, starting today you must desire to be free from debt or be free from the cubicle world.

Remember, you are the designer of your future.

Nung highschool ako my mom said…”Anak nagbibinata ka lang kaya ka tinitigyawat.”

Ok fine. I believed her. She’s my mom.

Nung college na ako…”Ganyan talaga anak. Mawawal din yan.” My mom said.

Ok fine. I believed her. I love my mom.

As I write this, ang laki ng tigyawat ko sa ilong and I’m now 39 years old.

Let me ask you this: When you were young do you have these beliefs that you learned from someone that eventually you realized it isn’t true?

By the way, these people don’t mean to hurt you or deceive you. They’re loving and caring. But their own assumptions were wrong but you believed them?

Their beliefs have become your beliefs?

Think about it.

Maybe tumatalon ka pag pasok ng taon hoping na tatangkad ka.

Or maybe kailangan mo matulog ng tanghali kung hindi, kukunin ka ng bumbay.
(Kawawa mga bumbay satin, kidnapper agad ang image nila.)

Or maybe di mo sinukat ang wedding dress mo (if you’re a lady) at baka di matuloy ang kasal

You know what I mean right?

Like it or not, these beliefs have shaped who you are.

Some beliefs are healthy but many are actually harmful to you.

Whenever I talk about “getting rich” or “making millions”, many people starts to become uncomfortable.
Why?

Because they associated being rich to many negative things. They want money but not too much.
“Sapat lang”, ika nga nila.

The problem is, pag sapat lang ang pera at biglang nangailangan, wala ng mabubunot. Sapat lang e.

What I suggest is that you aspire for more. More than you can spend for yourself.

Because by having more, you can help more people. You can give more. You can have bigger contribution. Sure, you can contribute without money but why not might as well have resources to spend.

You see, not because you have lot of money doesn’t mean you’ll spend everything just for yourself.

In fact, in my experience, I spend less to myself than I spend for other people. My desire for material things has waned. I want things as simple as possible.

Sure we have luxury vacations but generally, I want simple things. Both our cars were used when we bought it.

If you think that you’ll suddenly become an evil person if you make a lot, then you’ll never experience financial abundance.

Then you’ll ask yourself…”Bakit ang pera laging kulang?”

The problem is not your skills or there’s no opportunity. It is you. Your thoughts. Your beliefs.

Remember, your actions are led by your beliefs.

Today, I want you to think about these things.

Get a notebook and a pen and go to a quiet place where you can think.

Think about all your beliefs. All the words that you heard about money, business, being rich, and all.

Then challenge those beliefs. Ask yourself.

“Is my belief about this thing is true?”

You’ll be surprised with this exercise. You’ll uncover a lot of limiting beliefs that’s holding back your success.
